Gnomes of Cerrix

Gnomes are a studious race that live underground, often integrating into dwarven culture. They share many similarities to dwarves, and are often considered to be the "cousins" of dwarves. However, their slight frames lend poorly to rough work that dwarves do, so gnomes find themselves doing what they call "the smart work" in the dwarven cities.

Gnomes reach adulthood around 18 years old, although they don’t tend to adventure until they are in their low twenties. Gnomes are considered to be middle age at 40, old age at 65, and venerable at 90. Most gnomes live to be about 110 years old.

Gnomes tend to rarely reach 4 feet tall, with the males tending to be taller than females. It is rare, but some female gnomes have been known to be less than 3 feet tall. They tend to weigh between 40 and 50 lbs., with males being slightly heavier than females.

Play Information

Gnome adventurers are rare, being a small race whom many of their favorite things lie at home. Many gnome that do adventure are Thieves or Mages. Gnome cultures don't tend to train warriors, although there are a few known gnomish warriors. Gnomish religion has been highly influenced by their relationship with dwarves.

Gnomes, like their cousins the dwarves, prefer hard work, and they toil in whatever craft or research they are doing. A gnomes' passion for their projects lead them to becoming great teachers.
