Dwarves of Cerrix

Around Cerrix, dwarves have a reputation for being dour and stoic, hiding in their homes and not having dealings or goes-on with other folks. But people who view dwarves as this have never been friends with a dwarf. Although slow to accept, and slower to trust, once a dwarf has opened up to you, you will have a loyal, life-long friend.

Dwarves reach adulthood around 25 years old, although they don’t tend to adventure until they are in almost into their 30s. Dwarves are considered to be middle aged at 50, old age at 75, and venerable at 100. Most dwarves live to be about 130 years old.

Dwarves tend to stand between just under 4 feet and 4.5 feet tall, with the males tending to be taller than females. They tend to weigh between about 160 to 220 lbs., with males tending to be heavier than females

Most dwarves have a trade skill that they trained for at a young age, and as a result, many dwarves have a background in some sort of trade skill, or as a merchant.

Many dwarves value crafting, and it is seen as a cultural center point. As such, many dwarves seek to become well known for their craftsmanship.

Finally, dwarves have a special provision: Dwarves cannot utilize any class or kit that has the Arcanist archetype, even if the class kit would normally not exclude dwarves specifically. The same physiological makeup of their bodies that make them resistant to thaumaturgy is the same thing that makes it so they cannot utilize thaumaturgy style magic.
